Assam Seeks to Cut Kaziranga Eco-Sensitive Zone from 10 km to 1 Km

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said the state will ask the Centre to reduce Kaziranga National Park’s eco-sensitive zone from the default 10 km to 1 km. He said the move would ease restrictions on development projects while maintaining wildlife protection.
