Assam Promises Local Consultation Before Final Decision on Kaziranga ESZ

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said local communities will be consulted before Kaziranga’s new Eco-Sensitive Zone is finalised. The boundary may vary by location, considering wildlife corridors, terrain and development needs. An expert panel will prepare the proposal before central and wildlife authorities review.
