'Ghost Flower' Orchid, Leafless and Chlorophyll-Free, Found in Arunachal

Scientists discovered Gastrodia keyiensis, locally called "Oram Opuh" (Ghost Flower), in a remote Keyi River gorge at 1,000m—just five flowering plants found. The leafless orchid survives entirely on soil fungi, grows up to 35cm, and is classified Data Deficient. Study published in Phytotaxa.
